My name is Evelyn and I am an Area Manager at Aqua Home Care, helping families provide quality in-home care for their loved ones. In my professional career, I have always sought roles where I had the pleasure of helping others. I worked in telecommunications for over 18 years in customer service and support in Boston, MA. In 2015 we moved our family to Central Florida to escape the cold weather, and so I could provide care for my elderly parents in Orlando.
While sharpening my customer service and business skills, I watched and learned as many members of my family served in the healthcare industry, and I appreciated the value their skills and caring offered to society. After my career change, I realized that I wanted to work in healthcare, where I could continue my passion for helping others. A few years ago my father suffered through a brief but very serious illness, and needed at-home care for weeks afterward. After leaving the hospital I provided care for him at home, with the assistance of several visiting nurses. During that time I saw how important it was for my parents to be able to stay at home, where they could be the most comfortable, with their regular routines and familiar surroundings.
During my free time, I love spending time with my 3 sons and my husband. I enjoy planning parties and events for my extended family and friends. And I love traveling and putting new thumbtacks on our world map of where we have gone, and where we want to go next. As one of my clients, you can count on me to deliver the same caring, personalized care for you and your loved ones as I have for my own family.
I am the Area Manager for the Greater Orlando area. I come from a long healthcare and educational background. From heading up programs for the indigent and uninsured in several inner cities to teaching American Government to 7th graders in Title 1 Schools, most of my professional career has been dedicated to serving underserved communities. I believe it is my calling to be of service to others. I am a mom of two kids (8 and 15) who is energetic, detail oriented, very organized and hyper punctual. I take the time to get to know my clients, their concerns and their needs and use that information to create a truly individualized care experience for each person. I also specialize in helping clients with families who are out of the area. My grandmother suffered from dementia and Alzheimer’s so I am committed to treat all of my clients like my adopted grandparents in her honor.
